Terms of Service

Effective 30 August 2026

These terms govern use of TapReview, operated by Webinos ("Webinos", "we", "us"), at tapreview.webinos.ca. They form an agreement between Webinos and the business holding the account ("you").

By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

1. What the service does

TapReview gives you tap cards and web pages that invite your customers to rate their experience. Ratings and any comments are shown in your dashboard, and you are alerted by email when a low rating is left.

We provide the tool. What you do with it, and what you tell your customers about it, is yours to decide and yours to answer for.

2. Accounts

The service is for business use. You must give accurate registration details and keep them current.

You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.

3. Free trial

New accounts may start one free trial. No payment method is required to start it, and no charge is made during it.

One trial per account. If a trial has already been used, subscribing charges you immediately.

When the trial ends without a subscription, your tap cards stop serving customers. Your data is not deleted, and subscribing restores service.

We may change or withdraw the trial offer for future signups. Doing so does not affect a trial already running.

4. Subscription and payment

The price and billing period are shown before you confirm, and stated in Canadian dollars unless we say otherwise. Applicable taxes are added.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number. Your use of Stripe is also subject to Stripe own terms.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, using the payment method on file, until cancelled.

5. Failed payment

If a payment fails, your service continues for a short grace period — currently seven days from the failure — so that you can update your payment method without interruption to your customers.

If payment is still outstanding when the grace period ends, your tap cards stop serving customers. You keep access to your dashboard and your existing data, and can restore service by paying.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time from the billing section of your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep full service until then.

Fees already paid are not refunded on a pro-rata basis for a period you cancel part way through, except where a refund is required by law. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act or other applicable consumer legislation.

7. Your customers’ information

This section matters more than any other, so it is stated plainly. The ratings, comments and contact details your customers submit are collected for you and on your instructions. As between you and Webinos, you are the party responsible for that information.

You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it, for telling your customers what you collect and why, for displaying any notice your own privacy obligations require, and for answering requests from your customers to access, correct or delete what they gave you.

  • We process that information only to provide the service to you, and on your instructions.
  • We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train machine-learning models.
  • We keep it while your account exists, and delete it with your account.
  • We will help you respond to a customer request, and will pass such requests to you if a customer contacts us directly.
  • You will hold us harmless against claims arising from your own collection or use of that information in breach of these terms or of the law.

8. Acceptable use

You will not use TapReview to:

  • Break any law, or infringe anyone rights.
  • Collect information from people who have not been told it is being collected.
  • Impersonate another business, or point a card at a business you do not operate.
  • Submit or solicit ratings that do not reflect a genuine customer experience.
  • Attempt to access another account, probe our systems, or circumvent rate limits or billing.
  • Resell or sublicense the service without our written agreement.

9. Review platform rules — read this one

TapReview asks for a rating first, and directs customers who give four or five stars to your Google review page while keeping lower ratings private to you.

Major review platforms, including Google, prohibit selectively directing only satisfied customers to leave public reviews. This practice is often called review gating. It can also attract scrutiny from consumer protection and competition regulators as a misleading commercial practice.

You are responsible for ensuring that how you use TapReview complies with the rules of every review platform you send customers to, and with applicable consumer protection and advertising law. You accept that risk, including removal of your reviews, suspension of your listing, or regulatory action.

We are telling you this because you should decide with the facts in front of you, not discover them later.

10. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service running and reasonably fast, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, third-party outages and faults happen.

We may add, change or remove features. Where a change materially reduces what you have paid for, we will tell you in advance by email.

11. Intellectual property

TapReview, its software, design and branding remain ours. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is in good standing.

Your business name, logo and content remain yours. You allow us to display them where needed to run the service, such as on your own tap pages.

12. Third-party services

The service depends on Stripe for payment, on our database and email providers, and on Google when a customer is directed to leave a public review. We are not responsible for those services or their availability, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

13. Disclaimer

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We do not promise that using TapReview will increase your ratings, your reviews or your revenue.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue or data.

Our total liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, or rights you hold under applicable consumer protection legislation.

15. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. To have your account and its data deleted, write to support@webinos.ca and we will action it and confirm when it is done.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that we are legally required to act on, or where non-payment continues past the grace period. Except where the breach is serious or urgent, we will give you notice and a reasonable chance to fix it.

On termination your right to use the service ends. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date above will change, and we will notify account holders by email of material changes at least thirty days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of the judicial district of Montreal have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any right you have to bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction under mandatory consumer legislation.
